NEW RETREAT CENTER

When back in 1979 we were looking to buy some land to build on near my parents, we visited Slim Slocum, a hermit who lived in this cabin.  (I won’t tell you the rest of that story now.)  Then, 20 years later, we totally cleaned it up within a radius of 100 feet and essentially rebuilt it, adding a bathroom with a small loft above it, a small kitchen and a deck.  The firepit was done in 2007.  The old part of the cabin has a king bed with room for cots and a VCR/DVD player. The loft has a queen air mattress .

We had the idea of the retreat center for a long time.  We now have the conditional use permit.  But we need more hands.  Anyone interested? 

The barn remodeled can be made into a facility with 6 bedrooms and 3 large workrooms, with a kitchen in one and a fireplace in another.
